The Pottsville Community Association Inc. has been an effective part of the Pottsville and surrounding communities since 1989

The Association has been instrumental in initially establishing facilities in the area and in later years, protecting the amenity and lifestyle of this special area of the Tweed.
The primary purpose of the Association is to actively provide information by way of research, submissions, public meetings. This purpose provides the Association with a recognised avenue to participate in discussions and decision making at all levels of Government relating to the promotion of good social, economic and environmental outcomes and policies for the Pottsville area.

Our Mission and Core Values Are:

  • Being independent, non-party political and non-sectarian whilst allowing for different views and concerns to be raised. This will not preclude joint action with one or more similar active Incorporated Associations namely the Tweed Coast Alliance.
  • Receiving and responding to matters pertaining to ratepayers and residents in the Pottsville and adjacent areas as resolved by members.
  • Actively promoting the interests of Pottsville and adjacent areas to Local, State and Federal Government and their agencies.
  • Promoting actions and discussions designed to foster a sense of community and further promote an awareness of the legacy our present actions can leave for future generations in the Pottsville and surrounding areas for ratepayers, residents, businesses and visitors to the area.
  • Practicing and upholding the principles of good governance on all matters pertaining to Pottsville and adjacent areas.

Yearly Plan for 2025/2026

Every year the new committee review the yearly plan and members discuss and approve of the key issues/projects deemed a priority for that year.
These key issues are reviewed and modified as situations change or projects are achieved.

The Tweed Coast Alliance was formed to reflect the growing realisation by local residents that any issues are consistent across all of our Resident Associations
